An aphorism is a short saying that observes a general truth. This is a growing collection of aphorisms I have heard in the rooms and other places.
- Your mind is like your bed. You have to make it up every day, and be careful who you let in it.
- Feelings are like children. You don’t put them in the trunk, and you don’t let them drive the car.
- When you are wrong, promptly admit it. When you are right, shut up.
- If you have to fight monsters, don’t become a monster in the process.
- Faith is hope with a good track record.
- Don’t believe everything you think.
- I go to meetings so I don’t have to think alone.
- Self care is not vanity, it’s sanity.
